Michael Talbot

Capturing a Moment in Time's Biography

Choreography of form and balance

Michael Talbot draws his inspiration from theater, myth, dance and illusion. His collaboration with The Royal Ballet in London, and working closely with the dancers at the Royal Opera House, home of The Royal Ballet, allowed a dialogue between sculpture and dance that crafted his ability to understand the poise and posture of a dancer captured at a precise moment. To assure the integrity of the dancers shape, posture and form, the clay sculptures were carefully scrutinized by the expert and experienced eyes of the Royal Ballet directors. This allowed the fully sculpted image the authenticity and elegance of an advanced and detailed level of sculpture. Michael carefully and meticulously creates every aspect of weight, form, and gesture. Capturing a moment in time demonstrates his ability to project grace and emotion. The inspiration for a Micheal Talbot work has always been the human form and its dramatic poetry. Michael was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors in 1997 and was elected a member of the National Sculpture Society (USA) in 2012.
